A concise summary of Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 3 Chapter 12
Lord Brahma created the world of material elements in the following order:
The sense of death, anger upon frustration, enjoying material objects, illusory conception and ignorance of spiritual knowledge
Four great sages Sanaka, Sananda, Sanatana and Sanatkumara and who are the founders of sankhya, yoga, vairagya and tapas areas of study. They were self-realized souls who appeared to provide this valuable knowledge to human beings. Lord Brahma creates these four great sages only once in his life span of 100 years although he re-creates the material world each day of his life. These sages are capable of surviving the destruction of this world by the great fire caused by Adi Sesha at the end of each day of Lord Brahma. They are the devotees of the Supreme Lord, Vasudeva Krishna
Lord Rudra, the God of destruction (an aspect of Lord Shiva - commonly known as Para Shiva or Sada Shiva)
Lord Rudra is the controller of the mind, the sense organs, the life force, the sky, the wind, the water, the Earth, the Sun and the Moon
He is also known by 11 other names of which Siva is the most popular one
He has 11 wives of which Uma, Ambika, Rudrani and Iravati are the most popular
Lord Siva is the controller of tapasya. It is important to get the blessings of Lord Siva for a successful tapasya. The object of tapasya is Lord Adhoksaja, the same Supreme Lord, Narayana who is the Super Soul (Paramatma)
Ten sons were created from the mind of Lord Brahma:
Marici
Atri
Angiras
Pulastya
Pulaha
Kratu
Bhrigu
Vasistha
Daksa
Narada
The following were created from the body of Lord Brahma:

The principles of Yajnopavetam
The duties of a married couple
The principles of Brahmacharya (control of urges)
The science of logic
The sound Omkara (this was not directly created by Lord Brahma but handed down for the benefit of human beings)
The Vedic Meters of chanting
Svayambhuva Manu
Shatarupa (also known as Vak) - Although Vak is commonly identified with Goddess Saraswati, the former is the first woman created whereas the later is the natural consort of Lord Brahma. Svayambhuva Manu and Shatarupa united to create progeny. They had 2 sons, Priyavrata and Uttanapada, and 3 daughters Akuti, Devahuti and Prasuti.
Lord Brahma is a partial representation of Omkara. He is the representative of the Supreme Spirit and the Super Soul, Narayana. Despite having such an elevated qualification, Lord Brahma once developed attraction and consequently sexual urge towards Shatarupa, the first female he created. In every respect, he is the father of Shatarupa. This is only a one-time incident. However, he was advised by his sons headed by Marici to pray to the Supreme Lord to overcome his urge.
It is said that the senses are so mad and strong that they can bewilder even the most sensible and learned man. Therefore it is advised that one should not indulge in living alone even with one’s mother, sister or daughter. Even the most learned also become victims of the sensuous urge.
However, Lord Brahmā never got carried away after hearing the four essential verses of Srimad Bhagavatam directly from the Supreme Lord. It is said that whoever meditates on the below four key verses of Srimad Bhagavatam regularly will gradually develop control over greed and sexual urges.
