Srimati Radha, the eternal consort of Sri Krishna is glorified in the Vedas and Puranas. She is revered by many sages over millennia. However, the understanding of the position of Srimati Radha Devi requires a level of spiritual consciousness and devotion. As a result, she is not referenced extensively and directly on many occasions.
Let’s discuss the greatness of Radha on this occasion of “Radhastami”; the appearance day of her on this Earthly planet:
The joy-rendering power (Hladini Shakti) of the Supreme Lord, Sri Hari
Sri Radha is the full power, and Lord Krishna is the possessor of full power. They are not different just like the Sun and the Sun Light
The source of all Gopis; one who exhibit the highest form of unconditional love for God
The “Sri” in Sri Krishna is Radha
The perfect worshipper and pleaser of Sri Hari
Krishna means “All-Attractive”; Radha is the one who captivates even the All-Attractive one
She is the giver of devotion
She is extremely compassionate towards living beings
The top manifestations of Lord’s shaktis are Sri Radha and Durga. While Sri Radha serves the Lord directly, Sri Durga serves the Lord by taking part in the process of creation and management of the material nature
She is Maha Lakshmi and she expands herself into Nila Devi, Bhu Devi, Ashta Lakshmi and Viraja Devi to assist the Lord in various playful activities
She is the first and highest energy of the Supreme Lord i.e. Adi-Para-Shakti
She is the embodiment of love and sweetness among all Shakti manifestations
It is easy to remember Srimati Radha Devi by listening to this kirtan.
